Uptown Blanco Restaurant

What a joy to find such a nice place in such the small town that can take care of a large group like ours. We had our Christmas party hosted there in the back room and it was perfect! Great food, good times, and great memories.

Restaurant Recently Re-opened*Such a beautiful, historic building! We thoroughly enjoyed our Valentine's day lunch here. From the moment you step in the door, it's a great experience. We were greeted with hospitality that you don't always see anymore. The gentleman was excited about the building and was a pleasure to speak with about the plans for this Arts complex as well as his menu recommendations. We enjoyed the Duck Confit Egg Rolls with sweet chili dipping sauce, the Rueben sandwich and the Muffuletta. Each sandwich comes with your choice of Sweet potato, zucchini, regular fries or a petite salad. We had a very pleasant waiter and the server that brought the food was just as nice. I definitely look forward to seeing the theater re-open for performances and this beautiful center to be a vibrant spot in this sweet little town.A strange side note but worth mentioning... The bathrooms are definitely worth looking at. They are so unique!

My daughter and I have breakfast here after our daddy-daughter morning hunt. The food is always good, the portions huge, and the staff are wonderful. I love Uptown, and I look forward to eating breakfast there for years to come!

Nice spot interesting food

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way From Austin to dance at Twin Sisters. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the warmth of the service. The place has just been redone and the dining room is large and beautifully finished out. The menu actually includes a vegetarian section — an delightful find (for me, the vegetarian) since in small Texas towns, the closest thing you usually get to fine dining is a steak place, where I must content myself with a baked potato. I had the risotto, which could have been a little creamier for my taste, but was still good. My boyfriend had the chicken breast, which he said was delicious. (He cleaned his plate.) There were plenty of empty tables on Saturday night, so the restaurant remodel seems to anticipate Blanco becoming a destination, which would be nice since it’s a lovely, hill country town. Highly recommend.

New favorite restaurant - from the gorgeous renovation in one of Blancos Historic buildings to the innovative and wonderful food to the great Chef and wait staff - awesome evening! Thank you to the new Manager - Collin! You and your folks are doing a great job.

What a gem! It may not look open but it us!

Very cool place for brunch. Food was excellent. Service was friendly and the building has a unique history.

The place is as clean as it has always been and the floor staff was attentive however the kitchen did undercook one of our dishes and sent it out after people that arrived after us had already recieved their food. The floor staff was very apologetic, discounted our meal and gave us a whole other order of the dish to compensate. My family has eaten here once before since they reopened and had a good experience and my Shrimp and Avacado salad was good. If our food had come out in a timely manner and cooked properly they would have recieved a higher rating. I still recommend giving them a try as they genuinely cared and the menu has some delicious items on it.The waffles are amazing!

Best place in town for a real dining experience. Great renovation of an historic property. Have the chicken fried steak. Lucy rules!

Salmon was delicious with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Chicken fried steak was also excellent. Hot rolls melt in your mouth . Wonderful place for dinner. Great service.

Amazing food

Recently moved to the area and could never catch them open...finally did and recently updated their hours on Google so everyone has a chance to eat here! Lunch menu choices were great...chicken fry was wonderful. Food made by a chef, not a cook, and she double checked the recipes to ensure there was not any allergens. Super happy with the big city attention in a small town atmosphere. Wait staff and manager was great as well. Very happy and will return often.

I love the Sunday brunch at this restaurant. I build my own omelet. It come with fruit and hashbrowns. I choose a biscuit but have other choices like wheat or rye toast or English muffin. The setting is an converted general store to a modern restaurant. Service is also excellent. Give it a try.

Absolutely delicious food, both for the palate and the eye! Staff is very friendly and attentive and the feel of the beautiful renovated interior takes you back in time. It wasn’t just dinner, it was an experience.

The salmon was amazingly well cooked with a delicious pesto cream sauce. I highly suggest getting the mashed potatoes with the grilled onions, so good!

Really wonderful dining experience. We ordered our food, everything was great, but my pork chop was too salty to eat. I got another one which was perfect. The sides--creamed spinach, mashed potatoes with caramelized onions, vegetable medley, and butternut squash--were phenomenal. They wanted to comp my meal, but because I ate the second one, we compromised on dessert. Great service, great food, will be back!
